Who Needs Babydolls & Trucks?

Toys are not what they used to be. When I was little we always played house - making our homes under trees and washing pretend dishes and making dirt pies. These days the toys are much more dramatic and alive and electronic. And then there are some toys, which are not really even toys but more like science experiments. On a recent afternoon we pulled out our mega SMITHSONIAN SCIENCE KIT and set to work as archeologists to unearth what was buried inside some large rocks. Check out all the cool choices we had! (We also later made the volcano and that, too, was mind-blowing to the kids!)

Chapel unearthed beautiful gemstones and Eli chipped and brushed his way to some cool dinosaur bones. Conor tried on the protective eyewear and toddled around looking very scholarly.
